How like do you like sixth grade? “It’s all right. It can be stressful sometimes with the homework, but it’s all right.” Favorite class? “Math because my teacher’s funny, and I just like math. That’s always been my favorite subject.”

In case you have been living under a rock, the latest craze to take over the planet is the Webkinz animal toys. These plush stuffed animals are made by Ganz and are adored by kids of all ages, including adults. People can not seem to get enough of these toys and are purchasing them at astounding rates and retailers can not seem to keep the Webkinz in stock.

Whenever a certain toy explodes around the world and captures interest by the masses, it makes me wonder why this particular item? What makes the Webkinz so special as compared to another stuffed animal? Sure the Webkinz animals are in fact cute as any other toy, but why have they reached such a fanatical state by individuals?

One reason I believe the Webkinz is such a hit is that the toy is an interactive game as well. Everyone loves computers and it seems as if we love the idea of a child being able to grasp the concept of the computer as early as possible, and the Webkinz virtual world makes this possible. It is a great concept of learning, work and play.

The other reason I believe Webkinz are such a hot commodity is because they seem awfully hard to get a hold of these days. Stores can not seem to keep a popular Webkinz in stock. I am not sure if this is done by design to keep the masses going at a fanatical rate, but people love to want what they can not have. The more people can not get a hold of something, the more they search and search for the item and this causes a frenzy and bidding wars. Before you know it, people are paying thousands of dollars for a $20 toy just to get their hands on something that everyone else craves.

Webkinz are definitely on the rise and I can not wait to see how long this craze lasts and just how much people are willing to pay for the animals that go into retirement. I have seen some of the retired pets go for as much as $5,500!

The Webkinz craze has become a very expensive obsession. Many people are purchasing them in hopes their choice becomes a retired pet and can cash in. This is definitely a time to jump on board if you are a collector.

If you are having trouble finding you favorite Webkinz in stock, head on over to www.TheToyJunction.com where all the animals are in stock, along with clothes and other accessories.

Enjoy,
